i love how things get connected. it's so easy to get lost here on the whole blogosphere. sometimes after a couple of hours of it i feel like i have been at some sort of networking event and spoken to so many great people and heard about so many cool things. my mind swims w/ ideas afterwards.
when i first started this blog i had this happy little soul get in touch w/ me. she started leaving comments on my blog...which led me back to her blog, a little house in the clouds. which i now read everyday. her blog opened me up to a whole group of bloggers. two of which i check everyday as well; slow progress and borrowed, bought, stolen. i love the three of these girl's blogs. they're friends in "real life" as well. and funnily enough they all live in the mission here in san francisco. such a small world.
anyway, today i checked slow progress, on her blog is a post about this great, really wonderfully talented artist from brooklyn, katy horan. so through slow progress i was linked to katy's blog called katy*art. it's a great blog...just about her thoughts, work and what she's up to. and there i was brought to this video she posted by this band called bat for lashes. oh man. the video is so wonderful. katy horan likens it to donnie darko and i couldn't agree more.
i downloaded the album today...and it's great. spooky and dreamy. great for a foggy chilly day like today.
chalking one more up for unemployment! wooo-hoo! i met three girls, looked at amazing art, inspired, driven, read about a new band, bought an album. living the dream over here on 15th street and it's all happening in my jim-jams, to the layman: my pajamas.
