drawing on walls has always been appealing to me. there is something wonderful and exhilarating about changing your surroundings. miucca prada thought the same, commissioning la illustrator james jean for prada's spring collection. (miuccia is some fashion mastermind that's for sure.) james jean collaborated w/ miuccia on everything from the back drop of the spring show right up to the wallpaper for the prada beverly hills and soho stores.
will you please just get a load of these images? so amazing. the wallpaper roughly runs 17x2000 ft. goshdarn...and look how lovely those knee socks look. i was already sold when i saw the ads but now i'd be more than happy to shell out the clams just by looking at these beautiful nymphs. james also designed fabric for the spring collection, and there are bags as well. yes, ladies, handbags!
check out the complete length of the wall in process on james' site. it's truly stunning. to see the prada spring campaign w/ james' fabric and finished wall paper in action go here. also be sure to check out james' blog, process recess, where he updates often w/ sketches and things he's up to.
