amy casey sure has some serious amounts of creativity coarsing through her blood. i'm absolutely floored by the amount of work on her website. it's impressive to say the least. i had such a hard time choosing images...so make sure you check out her site.
for the past 8 yrs amy has had a recurring dream that the world is ending. in her artists statement amy says a few things. two of note, that she is not trying to recreate this dream but rather interpret the 'nervous state of affairs the world seems to be in' and that she is 'fascinated by the resilience of life'. amy combines these two sentiments perfectly in her work. she paints our precarious world and our endurance to keep on keepin on poetically.
