while i wait to head down to some galleries i wanted to get this post up of alexis amann. inspired and influenced by children’s books, mythologies, fairytales, folklore and her sister. alexis layers worlds w/ in worlds in her gouache paintings on paper. i love her narratives. i'm sorry, but who doesn't love a narwal? alexis has a few shows coming up, johansson projects on the 20th of march and new image art will be hosting a show at mollusk surf shop in venice beach may 3rd.
