jessica cannon's piece, 'untitled', is my new favorite. i love the combination of the landscape w/ a huge pair of aviator sunglasses. i love the sheer absurdity of the concept, yet w/in her painting it comes over so smooth and beautiful. completely appropriate. very sleek. w/in her work jessica likes to challenge her surroundings, the connections between human and landscape. jessica describes her work as: "postcards, attractions, souvenirs and ruins from a continuous, psychological landscape."
