personally, i'm a big fan of jokes, hmmm, maybe 'jokes' isn't the best description. i'm a big fan of pulling people's legs, yanking their chain as it were. like most thirty something ladies, i'm a big fan of miranda july. i like her quirkiness, style and her art. i've been familiar w/ miranda for yrs but i was completely sold; hook, line and sinker on miranda in that instant in her film me and you and everybody we know, where she totally loses it in the car. fuck old pople, fuck children, fuck peace?! i loved her insanity. i just saw this video over on one of my favorite personal blogs "WE ARE INDEPENDENTLY WEALTHY." i really believe that only miranda july has the genius, social savvy-ness, and cuteness to get away w/ this.
tiny showcase as usual is doing it up over there. AND as always they have out done themselves. to celebrate spring they have launched their spring seasonal collection. offering four prints that may be purchased separately or together, and bigger than the norm prints at TS. this seasonal showcase artists are jennifer davis, josh keyes, jack long, nigel peake. they will be available all spring. they're so great, aren't they? sometimes i wish tiny showcase would be my bff.
what is it about dark chocolate? i don't know about you, but a few bites of that yummy goodness and i've got reason to live again. ok, jk. i jk. but this being the second day of spring and all, i have to say is i have cabin fever like it's nobody's business and so therefore, i blog to you about it. in these early spring days when i crave light, heat and life in general i am really appreciating eric shaws' work. he's been uploading daily on his flickr site. his color pieces drip w/ bright wonder. his blk and white are scribbled w/ so much to look at. i've actually subscribed to his flickr page...isn't technology such a smarty pants? alright, let's stop w/ the words and give you art. less talk. more art. more bettah...one last thing, eric will have a zine out in april w/ islands fold.
