samuel sparrow's drawings are stark and a bit lonely. of course that only makes me like them more. there is something to be said about emotional work, in my opinion, art is something that should move you. you should be drawn to it. attach your baggage and move in w/ it. assign stories, preferably inappropriate stories. call it up crying when you need a hug. call in sick to hang out w/ it. i could get down w/ samuel's work like that. samuel has a zine that he published w/ analogue books (my fav). also, all of his work is available as prints. to see more or purchase his zine check out his website .
