hannah stouffer.

i was recently asked to take part in an online project by adam from the twenty 2wo blog. i won't give away details as they are his to give...but i think it's ok to say i was asked and honored to do a q&a w/ hannah stouffer. hannah, a graphic designer who lives in san francisco, is overflowing w/ epic inspiration which spills out beautifully all over her work. i'll save the rest for the interview, which i will let you guys know about as soon as i can...until then you can check out hannah's website and her etsy store. she also has product and prints at poketo and little paper planes.

the martinez design project.

in april i posted about leslie martinez, who does incredible drawings. look i know i say everything is awesome on this blog, but hot damn her stuff is dope. incredible, incredible line work. so anyway, i first found leslie through a friend here in boston who had favorited leslie and her sister's etsy store, the martinez design project. i was saddened when i realized that it was empty and even sadder when i saw all the amazing things i had missed out on. but recently, now that leslie is out of school she and her sister are back ! here is what they say about their bags:

I hope they are recognized they way I see them; as public art, original traveling art and or affordable simplified paintings stemming from quick intuitive visions.

is that just  the best or what? the best. so i would act quick if you want one these bad larrys...one has already mysteriously disappeared since i started this post. oh internet, why you gotta play so hard to get?

remi thornton.

remi thornton's images remind me of that feeling one get's on the very first night of summer, right as the sun starts to set. an all encompassing feeling of hope and expectation. you know the one i'm talking about. that emotion that has been chased by writers, poets, film makers, artists...forever. remi's photographs seem to capture that evocation of an expected, awaited exhilaration with a wee creepy vibe thrown in there for balance. his images are right on the cusp of a happening it seems, slightly fleeting, right there w/in your grasp if you wait long enough, but look away and you may miss it.

i saw remi's photography last weekend at bernard toale here in boston. there were i believe, three photographs, and i was completely immersed in them. i wanted more so badly. i look forward to future show's of his. until then my friends we have his website.

tara foley's show say hello to never ending opened on june 3rd at fecal face dot gallery. normally, i would never write this late about a show, but man, tara's stuff just looks so amazing! i couldn't let my computer debacle sabotage this post, her work is just too juicy and awesome to let it walk on by. check out fecal's gallery website to look at all her works at the show. so good. if you are in sf hit them up i know they just extended their hours, tara's show goes through july 3rd.

the yumiyumi shop on etsy just celebrated one year on june 5th. congrats yumiyumi! to share in aline's excitement and thanks for the support from everyone, she is offering a special in her shop. if you buy three prints you get the fourth one for free (equal or lesser value, folks...no fast ones!). personally, i'd take these three images you see here...and then take whatever aline wanted to throw my way. just saying though.
