Misaki Kawai's work is an explosion of color and awesomeness. Born in Osaka Japan, influenced by her creative parents; an architect father and a mother who made clothes and puppets. Misaki's art has a meticulous, electric pulse running through it. It's seductive. I was delighted to find out through her studio manager that she's got a show here in Boston in February at LaMontagne Gallery. YES. Chalk one up for Boston. I'm stoked for the show.
