This past weekend I stopped by Corey Corcoran's studio in Southie (that's South Boston). We talked about his work, dropped by La Montagne Gallery, shopped at Goodwill (where I got a rad russian scarf!) and took a stroll in the neighborhood. I posted about Corey at the beginning of the month. Corey utilizes
an enormous amount of materials in his work including old photographs, glitter, roofing materials, construction site paraphenalia, crayons, stickers...and on and on. What I admire most about Corey's work is his deliberate placement of the amount of materials he uses, each finds a home perfectly within his work creating a beautiful final piece.
