Dan Szymanowski is one of the first artists I had the pleasure of meeting when I first moved to Boston. He has been nothing but welcoming and encouraging, which in the North East can be slightly hard to find if you don't look hard enough. Over this past winter I was able to hang out with Dan a couple times in his live/work space. Dan works in a variety of mediums. What I admire most about his work is his ability to combine portraiture and landscapes effortlessly. I'm a big fan of his color palette as well. I'm delighted to invite Dan to the blog this week as the blogs very first guest blogger! What follows are pics of our visits this winter.

love the studio visits.
