Here are some great shots of the install of Paul Chatem and Mike Maxwell's show Until the Whistle Blows, which opens tonight at The Shooting Gallery in SF. If you are in the hood you should make it a point to get to the show, it's going to be a good one. Also available for purchase at the gallery is this gorgeous letter press print from Mike Maxwell. Don't they look amazingly tactile and elegant? They're limited so don't mess around.

Recently I was asked by Katie, the web editor over at Juxtapoz.com to be a part of a group of contributing bloggers on their newly designed site. I am totally honored and really excited to be a part of such an awesome opportunity with some incredibly talented people. Please take a minute to see the group they've got going on, it's pretty stellar. There should be lots of good stuff daily there.
So basically, as of now my love for you is being partially aggregated over on Jux's site and I will be posting separate blog posts. You can find all of that here, if you please. It'll be more or less of the same that I write about here...but with more of a Boston twist. I just posted the first post over there, it's on Brian Butler a Mass based artist and you can check it out here. Thank you for checking it out!

Just got a bunch of pics from Lisa Congdon of the install of her show with Mati McDonough, Little Pink Houses at The Curiosity Shoppe. Check out that trailer birdhouse! Here's a blurb about the show which opens on Friday, July 10th. The whole show looks darling.
Little Pink Houses is a collaboration between San Francisco artists and friends Mati McDonough and Lisa Congdon. They conceived of the show by discovering their mutual love for John Cougar Mellencamp's famous melody. Little Pink Houses is an homage to many of the pair's mutual loves, including the color pink and all things of the forest. The installation includes 8 8x8 paintings (4 by each artist), 8 painted birdhouses (4 by each artist) and 2 collaborative paintings. Fabric designed by each of the artists is also on display.
