This past Monday night
Faythe Levine brought her film
Handmade Nation to Boston. With the generous help of
The Video Underground and
4th Wall Project/
Bodega we were able to screen it at the 4th Wall Gallery to a full house. All the seats were taken (including the massive bean bags!), and people happily sat on the floor in anticipation of the great documentary. It's an incredibly inspiring film and I highly recommend that you
see it. It was so rad to hear so many people talk about their craft and how they are making it work. I continually got warm fuzzies through out the screening.
This was the first time I was able to meet Faythe in person, we've been internet friends for about a year and a half or so. During the day we did a little thrifting (I scored a sweet red polka dot dress!), got some coffee and talked about so many subjects as if we had been old friends catching up. Despite a gray and wet New England day, all in all it was a wonderful day ending with an awesome night.
You can get copies of the film and book through BuyOlympia.com.
