Molly Bosley emailed me just as I sat down last night to dive into blog posts. I have to say, I was relieved. As much as I enjoy blogging, I also like a good distraction as much as the next person. Molly's dioramas are not only a welcome distraction, but thoughtful and visually poetic as well. Recently, she has been exploring the art of paper cutting, known as Scherenschnitte ( which loosely translated from German it means 'scissor cuts'). Through this medium Molly has started to reinterpret her wildly, visual dreams through the medium. As she says so eloquently:
"Utilizing silhouette images of the commonplace and the eerie, I record glimpses into the narrative of a life lived in dreams"
I've included in this post some of her other paper cuts, I just couldn't resist. The detail is exquisite. Molly recently opened an etsy shop where you can purchase her dioramas and other work. See all of her work on her flickr page.
