I don't normally post about digital work, for no other reason than I just don't see work that personally moves me. No other reason. Last week I stumbled on Yuling Deng's piece Conceptual Portrait of Marie Antoinette (above) and just fell for it. I stood and stared for probably a little longer than I needed too. Ha! I scribbled her name down and googled her when I got home. Yuling's use of light and shadows is super and intense. It brings me to another land instantly. Deng works in all different mediums, including 2d animation, web design and plain old analogue oil. The girl is talented. She'll be showing soon, check out her blog to keep tabs on her.
