Mia.

Mia has been hard at work on her latest pieces Medusa and Wish Upon A Star. And as usual her attention to detail is incredible. She takes the time to blog about her thoughts behind the paintings in some serious detail. I absolutely love her symbolism behind the melted clock on Pinocchio's lap. I can not describe what that kind of layered thought process in a piece does to my psyche. Total inspiration. To be privy to an artist's thoughts behind a piece is always like the dessert after the main course. I always feel like such an art dork around this kind of stuff. But it makes me so excited to get a peak at the process. NERD ALERT!

I have attached both paintings and the third, Four Seasons which will all be in the Hi-Fructose 5 Year Anniversary Show at Copro Nason which opens this Saturday. If you are in the area, I would make it a point to get to this show.
