It's hard to not ignore the environment these days, it's no longer like the old days when the environment was just there and we could do what we wanted and not feel any kind of remorse. But now enviromentalism is so prevalent we've got NBC hashing out PSA's and BP Oil making sure their logo fits with the green agenda (at least they've got that going for them). Nathan Abels addresses what he calls the "the noticeably
unnatural human habitat" within his paintings and the effect our impact has had whether it be construction or in most cases, destruction.





























Maaarvelous. What rock have I been hiding under so that I'm new to Stampede of Horses? The charcoal of the ocean reminds me quite a bit of a Vija Celmins. Contemplative, vast, almost rapturous.
I dig his paintings, too. Nice work.
