I was really excited to meet Charlie James this weekend at the SF Art Fair. Not only does he house a ton of talent in his gallery, I learned of Orly Cogan's solo show, Love Street currently up right now. Orly's work has always fascinated me. Her clever combination of craft and unabashedly brash feminism commentary in her work is both provocative and accessible. I love her use of vintage fabric and tablecloths, weaving the actual history into her work by using it as a base. Love her work, big time.
