The San Francisco Arts Quarterly just launched their second issue, The SOMA Issue . SFAQ is a free quarterly publication that is dedicated to the artistic community here in SF. Launched by Andrew Mclintock and Greg Ito, they have both worked tirelessly to get this issue up and running and it looks rad. Chocked full of a full calendar with info on galleries and art happenings, not to mention a handy map marking all of the galleries in the city. So nice. it's definitely a must have to keep abreast on such an art rich community. You can find it at galleries and shops through out the city.
I should mention, I was honored to be interviewed in this issue by Leigh Cooper, director of White Walls/Shooting Gallery/941 Geary. We had a great chat and I'll post the interview soon.
To celebrate and get the word out, this Saturday SFAQ will be throwing a symposium with music, free bar and a panel discussion. More info on the symposium here.
