I first saw Maria Forde's work in 2006 at Little Tree Gallery in her solo show A Strange 31 Years. I quickly became a fan of her work. Quite honestly, it's hard not to. Her work has a quirky flavor that I totally appreciate, whether it's her buttons of ten movies she loves, her paintings or her zines...I enjoy everything she touches. I was excited when I heard her 'zine Longview is available again. Inspired buy the urge to learn more and fumble less in life, Maria turns to older souls at her Grandmother's retirement home for words of advice. That's her Grandmother, Mary Ellen Smith, on the cover.
Here's a little view into this awesome zine. This is definitely a keeper! Get your copy at N+P.
