Amanda Blake of this is all I know tweeted about portraits of Helena Bonham Carter she had painted after watching A Room with a View, the Merchant/Ivory film. I love the work that Amanda does, her oil paintings are so haunting and I was easliy taken with these portraits of HBC. I asked her to tell us a little about them:
"I recently watched "Room with a View"and while Italy was of course gorgeous and Jeremy Irons rather perfect, mostly I adored watching a young Helena Bonham Carter. After years of painting hundreds of these little portrait blocks I'm always looking for new inspiration and so this is my little batch inspired by Helena Bonham Carter's huge Victorian updos and heart-shaped face."
LOVE IT. You can purchase one of these original beauts in her big cartel shop.
