The Memory Or You Is Never Lost Upon Me.
Brian Adam Douglas aka Elbow-Toe sent over new work from his show, Due Date at The Black Rat Projects and the fresh off the streets of London. Brian's collages have gotten better and better as he goes, yes the above is a collage. To see Brian out on the streets in London, check out Arrested Motion's post on him.

I like the rawness in Christian Herr's work, along with his color and subject choices. There seems to be a lot of care, yet an air of not giving an eff at the same time in his work.
In a recent email, after I asked him to send me images of his painting Parking Lot Marauders (above), he sent me many detailed shots saying: "I get bummed when the big picture misses the details... I strive for the itty bittyist detail." I love that and it shows. It's one of my fave paintings of Christian's. I have included the detailed shots below for your enjoyment along with newer work of his.
I spotted Before I Die, an awesome street art/installation project done by Candy Chang in New Orleans over on Honestly WTF. It made my heart sing. Nothing gets me more pumped than street art that is positively interactive. Take a look:
I only learned of Marilyn Minter last spring through my friend Hilary Pecis. I have since become transfixed with her paintings and c-prints. You can hear an interview with her here with the wonderful, Zefrey Throwell.

With all this rain in SF (I know east coast friends, I have no right to complain) but damn I need some sunshine and color. So I thought what better way to get some quick color was to post Maya Hayuk's newer work she recently uploaded to her website. Just looking at her work I feel like I get a zap of vitamin D. Speaking of sunshine, be sure to check out Rye Rye's video Sunshine to see the below mural was comminssioned for.
