I took a stroll up to Kevin Earl Taylor's studio yesterday on a sunny Sunday to see his latest group of work. Kevin's got a few shows coming up: first a group show in Berlin in August, and second at Rebekah Jacob Gallery in Charleston, South Carolina in October. I always like visting Kevin's studio -- he's usually got quite a few paintings and work hanging around, in various states of completion. This visit was no different. Each piece looked great. Kevin's also taken on a new craft, engraving. Check out his flasks!
Kevin is working on a few sculptural pieces, this is the first in the beginning stages of progress.
An engraved painting.
A found flask that inspired Kevin. I'm hoping he'll make one for me just like this but with my name. ;)
My assistant for the day, Scout Caldwell (my roommates dog), I love her so much.
Thanks Kevin!
