Ever since I was a little girl I have been fascinated by adornment. All kinds of adornment. I thought I had been pretty versed on tribal adornment rituals until a few months ago when I saw images of Yll Citaku's video; Nusja Jone-Our Bride on Imprint. Lubinje brides of Kosovo are meticulously dressed and made up for their wedding day. It's done to ward off the "evil eye, and discourages gossip and speculation."
I was just looking through my bookmarks and found the images again so I thought I would share. I searched for the original video and just watched it for the first time. Wow — it's absolutely dreamy.

This is stunning. What a wonderful compilation of images and ideas.

Yeah, I thought the same -- stunning, inspiring, beautiful. I never really have 'favorite' posts because I love what I post, but this is up there for sure.
