Kate Mccgwire sent over images of her latest body of work. The pieces are named; Guile, Lure, Quell, Seer and Yearn. Her work continually floors me. Each feather placed just right. Stunning.
You can see a q&a I did with Kate last year here.

I'm so grateful that you've established a relationship with Kate MccGwier, and hopehopehope you can talk her into/help to arrange for her to exhibit in San Francisco. Why, d'ya suppose she hasn't shown widely in the US? Or really at all in the US.
Ah, the complex machinations of the art world. And the simplistic machine of money.

Hi MkC, Kate is fascinating and yes, I am so excited to be able to have access to her and her work. She truly is one of a kind. She has shown in NYC. Her pieces are so delicate and actually quite cumbersome in weight, etc. so I think this plays into where and how she shows. I also think (this is just my opinion) is that she is quite selective as to where she shows -- which I think is really smart on her part. I admire her immensely!

Beautiful presentation of this astounding work - both here and in your Q&A, but just grows the desire to see in person. Thanks SO much! I have a site in which I gather audio interviews (www.MosaicOfArt.com) I'm curious to know if your Q&A was a written exchange, or did you transcribe from a recording. Very intimate, thoughtful and revealing. Helps somewhat, I suppose, that she's a friend. Wonderful exchange.
