Anthony Lister: And Then The Wind Changed.

I've been following Anthony Lister since I first started reading blogs about four or so years ago. I have no idea how I first stumbled on his blog, but I was hooked. He was documenting his work and what he was up to, and it was all so new to me. Five years on and his work has grown and changed, but he still keeps that subtle smear that's all his own. His solo show And Then The Wind Changed opens this Saturday at New Image Art in LA. I have a video of his install, but lord only knows how to embed it with out You tube or Vimeo. Ha, such a luddite I am. As soon as I get a code for it, it's all yours for the viewing!

fall has just begun and what better way to celebrate, then to shed an old skin and start anew on the first days of such a beautiful season? betsy walton just launched a new version of her website; morning craft. complete with blog, shop, projects and news of upcoming shows and notes of interest. betsy's shop, which links you directly to etsy is brimming over with original art and prints. more work will be added once her current show winter is coming (a group show with meredith dittmar and melissa moss) comes down at lab 101. the above painting is entitled "don't forget your coat.", like i said a perfect way to start the fall season . please check betsy's new website for more details on current and upcoming shows and of course her beautiful work.
