Gavin Potenza

Gavin Potenza has updated his portfolio site! It's filled with eye poppin' work. He just recently jumped into the deep end of the freelance pool (without floaties) and he his having the life of his time!

Mister Potenza is a communicative designer living in the fine city of Portland, OR (So many good people there, Hi Kate & Clifton). Gavin works in print, web, and contributes to the blog The Strange Attracter.

The first of Gavin's work that I came across was the JOUG Exhibition -  a collaborative effort with Liz Meyer. (I really like mountains, clouds, outerspace, and triangles. They make me feel something.)

 

Gavin is a smart designer and I'm anxious to see more of his work!

Erin Hanson

Erin Hanson is a traveling photographer from Austin, Texas. When Erin is not shooting film, creating 1 minute photoshop thoughts, blogging, or trying to be better at something...then she's probably just being lazy. 

I recently discovered her and her work, but we're probably going to be friends now. So come to Austin and hang out with us!

Mario Hugo

I LOVE MARIO HUGO...there I said it and the internet knows it! I think his work is prolific and breath taking. Hugo has a very diverse, face melting portfolio. (I do grow impatient waiting for the images to load, but it's well worth the brief wait...they're so large and tasty! Please click on the images to view them larger on his site)

His spec work for Beck has been blazed across the web and every single time I see it I'm blown away. (Some of my favorites of the series.)

Margot's Pitch Design Union

Margot is a talented lady blogging, thinking, creating, and living Chicago. She has a very nice blog/portfolio site called Pitch Design Union, but she is known to me as the Ampersand lady(for reasons you will soon know). Margot's design work is eye catchingly clean, tasteful, and charming. You can see some of her work below. 

 

Her blog, Pitch Design Union, is filled with all your favorites from illustration, design, typography, textiles, and photography. Take a gander!

Also, I'm very anxious to see how her current project And, The Typeface turns out. You should be excited too because it's a complete "alphabet" comprised entirely of ampersands! That's right and it will be made into a typeface along as some tangible, lickable products!

And to top it all off, Margot is NICE & NEAT & PLEASANT & ENJOYABLE TO E-MAIL! (i typed so many amp&rsands!)

Forest is a multi-purpose design studio from LA that is involved in many great publications. How great? Well, they previously published The Drama magazine, and now act as art director for Anthem magazine, comics editor for Swindle mag, and conduct interviews for Faesthetic mag. 

 

Besides magazines, they also publish The Small Book Series that's just down right awesome.  

 

Forest doesn't just stick to publications either. They have shown in galleries such as Sumbliminal Projects, New Image Art, Lump, Okay Mountain, LittleBird, Thanky Space, ADA, and Quirk.
