My roommates and I headed to the Golden Gate park for the SF Zine Fest this past Sunday. We're within walking distance from the park, which without saying is pretty awesome. It couldn't have been a nicer day.
The SF Zine Fest is a two day wonderland of table upon table of independent zine and book makers. Although the focus is on zines and books, there was a wide variety of DIY products. There was so much to look at! So much creativity and inspiration all under one roof! We were totally inspired when we left.
Below is a small batch of pics I took, the full group is on the blog's flickr page. I tried to name each table/booth, but in some places I wasn't able to get cards of the specific vendor. Sorry! Feel free to conatact me if you see your work so I can properly tag it. ;)
Two Fine Chaps had incredible pop up books.
This beautiful book, Depositions was made by Antonio Iannarone. The printing was like nothing I have ever seen. The images looked like you could dive right in. So crisp and gorgeous.
As I mentioned above there was so much to look at an be inspired by but by far I absolutely fell in love with Thimble Winder's Tiny Party kit. Genius idea!
I purchased the above 'OK' medal by Thimble Winder, too adorable to pass up.
We were delighted to see Austin McManus of Flop Box and Hannah Stouffer sharing a table.
I loved this letter press calendar from Kimmy Phi. So classic and sweetly subtle.
Zine in a can from Butter Sword.
This 8 piece print is from Family Style. The packaging was great!
A ball point drawing zine from Everybody Get Up. The drawings in here were soooo fine and detailed.
Jen Oaks' Twin Peaks buttons were hilarious and you got free panties (a sweetly drawn card full of bloomers ;)
WORK had great t's and sweatshirts and undies ;).
Birds of America by Happy Birthday.
