Opening tonight at Needles + Pens is Stolen Land a solo show by graffiti artist . Although Other's work can be found all over the world's walls...his largest body of work can be found on trains all over Canada and the North Eastern United States Railway system. So it's an exceptional experience to be able to view a large body of his work in one place. If you are in San Francisco, I highly encourage you to check out this show...it will definitely be one for the memory vaults. Other sent the above pic of a piece in progress over earlier today. Rad, right?

agov.

i need to make a confession; my life has become netflix'd episodes of past seasons of project runway and celebrity gossip blogs.  i know, i know.  it's disgusting.  i don't know what the eff happened.  winter started a few months ago, it all got blurry, time passed and here i am.  how i got here, i don't know.  but i feel like i am waking up from a long, dark slumber and thank the good lord harry i woke up to agov's colorful paintings on flickr.  agov is an artist from the ukraine.  and yes, that's pretty much all i've got for you.  oh, and i really like his work.  if you need to know more, add agov as a friend on myspace and create some false intimacy w/ comments, msgs and who knows perhaps adding him as your #1 just to shake things up a bit?  see more of agov's colorful work here.

peel: the art of the sticker.

in 2001 dave and holly combs left their home in indianapolis, indiana to help in the relief efforts of the aftermath of september 11th.  during their down time in nyc they explored manhattan and were inspired by the hundreds and hundreds of stickers they on the streets.  it was because of this auspicious trip to the big apple that led them to create their zine dedicated entirely to street stickers; PEEL.  well, a few yrs have passed and that black and white zine has become a full-size glossy mag distributed all over the world.  it now takes it's place amongst many an important publication w/in the street art world.  PEEL is proud to announce their first hardcover 160 pg book covering the past four yrs of the magazine's existence.  pre-order your signed copy here.

zevs: liquidated chanel.

i'm kind of in love w/ this painting of the liquidated channel logo by zevs (and yes, i would marry it if i could.)  dripping has been huge in the graffiti scene for yrs now.  it's impressive how zev has incorporated it w/ major labels and trademarks.  it was shown last month at LAZ.inc gallery in zevs' show: liquidated logos.
