Jacob Magraw-Mickelson & Rachel Sumpter share their collaborative work with us. Both do beautiful work singularly and it only makes sense that combined, the pieces would be explosive. You can see more on Richard Heller Gallery's site.

Richard Pearse shot over an email with images of a new group he's been hard at work on for the upcoming group show, Linear Empires at White Walls Gallery. Richard's detail and ability to connect color & shape in his work is what really draws me in. So much to look at.
Check out Richard's blog to see all of the work that will be in the show. Linear Empires opens on February 12 and runs through March 5.

Twilight, Lena Wolff.
Lena Wolff shares with us her's & Jaime C. Knight's new and collaborative collage work for their recent show In the Beginning at Lake Gallery.
Lena told me: "Jaime & I have been long time pals for over ten years & we've taught art & travelled together in the past, but this is the first time we've made art together. The work for this show, In the Beginning, is drawn from existing and imagined creation myths."
A closing party will be held on January 21st, with Carolyn Pennypacker Riggs of the Finches performing.

Olaf Hajek recently redesigned his website and added a ton of new work, as well as his previous older pieces. There is so much to drool over. His maps are rad...which I had never seen before, but honestly I find every singe piece of Olaf's incredible. I hope to get my hands on his book Flowerhead soon.
Check out the video below, from Gestalten where Olaf talks about his inspiration and work.
