Lisa Hanawalt.

Lisa Hanawalt recently released a self-published book called I Want You through Buenaventura Press. It's chock full of Lisa's super rad drawings. If you hurry you may be able to snatch up one of the signed and doodled in copies by Lisa. Also available on her website is her award winning 'zine Stay Away From Other People. Olivia Jeffries.

Olivia Jeffries had a piece in the show I curated at Needles + Pen's, You've Got Light In Your Eyes in May. I obviously asked her because I really love her work. As I walked my dog tonight and thought about what I would say in this post, it occurred to me I have no idea how to describe Olivia's work in a quick, succinct way. But I am going to give it a shot: Olivia uses old, often stained found ephemera to paint and draw on, then applies these amazing, ghost like but very current images. She combines both worlds effortlessly as if they always belonged together, often incorporating the scribbles and left over handwriting within the pieces themselves. Her use of white is phenomenal. Ok, I think that's a good description! Check out her latest foray into zine making. Gorgeous.

Cafe Royal Tote bag.

I can't ever get enough tote bags. It's become a bit of problem actually. Like they can't all fit on my doorknobs of my closet door anymore. Kinda wrong, right? But when tote bags look this cute, come from one of the best zine distributors and are so inexpensive...how can you go wrong? Plus, Café Royal's logo is so nuts I love it.

Test Everything

Another Austin project! Test Everything is a self initiated project created by Texas State art whiz Rand Rendfrow. Test Everything specializes in producing editioned fine art books, zines, posters, and other printed goodness.

Everything's Okay, I Drew This For You is the debut zine of Test Everything's collection. He's got more issues on the way and is always looking for more contributors.

Each page has been screen printed with skillz and real love by this kid.

Contributing artists included Natalie Perkins, Chance Morris, Erik Moore, Joshuar Miller, Megan Duffy, Karin Soderquist, Sloane Leong, Anton Abo, Bene Rohlmann, Noodle Horse, Jonathan Mak, Stefan Joch, Christopher Holloran, Craig Smith, Connor Daison, & The Andgry Hedonist.

New zine & website from Nigel Peake.

Nigel Peake just posted a brand new zine about birds on his bigcartel shop. It's an edition of 200 - 28 Pages hand stitched, 150 x 190 mm. The birds are perfect Nigel drawings, they're darling. I love what he says about the book:

"A set of new drawings about those feathered wonders that are all around us. A round this time of the year, the trees and hedges are full of colour, flurry and noise. The drawings are some of the birds I see every day. And some that I have yet to see."
