i got in from san francisco this morning at 5 a.m. i'm so tired. but i'm filled w/ inspiration and renewed feelings after a long winter, bring on spring! i can't think of a better way to express those feelings then share w/ you the beautiful world of sarjo frieden. her show, another green world opens at little bird gallery tonight in l.a., displaying new work and collaborative pieces with marci boudreau.
although i could wax about the lovliness of sarajo's colorful, atmospheric work, i'll let the more succinct, eloquent press release do that for me instead:
"combining elements of fine, folk and decorative arts, Frieden uses a variety of mixed media to layer and juxtapose imagery that invites us into unfamiliar folktales, untold histories and enticing internal worlds."
