Kim Piotrowski's work is an agglomeration of color, shape and intensity. Her paintings are the kind of work that elicits this urge to take out a big spoon and just scoop right into them. Kinda like peanut butter. They vibrate and ooze, calling to me.
Kim works with a variety of mixed media, her work includes some or all of the following: acrylic ink, flashe, gouache, watercolor, gold leaf, pencil, permanent markers, conté crayons, crayons, graphite, acrylic paint, enamel. I love an industrious woman. The first three paintings in this post are part of a series in Crowns, currently hanging now at 65Grand.
