I stopped by Jen D'Angelo's home last night as she and Ferris Plock finished up pulling prints for his show, Fare Thee Well with Deth P. Sun at Giant Robot opening this Saturday in LA. Jen owns Nooworks, one of the cutest boutiques here in SF (I bought this dress from her which I adore.) and it's well known for it's silk-screened goods.
When I got to Jen's place, both Ferris and Jen were working like a well oiled machine. Jen was pulling and Ferris was drying and hanging the pieces. I can't wait to see what Ferris does with the final pieces. Printing was done on paper and wood, Ferris says he'll be adding gold leaf, distressing and color to them. It was great to hang out, laugh and watch the prints form from a glob of paint to one of Ferris' rad little dudes.
Fare Thee Well opens October 2nd and runs through November 3rd, 2010 at Giant Robot in LA.
Ferris took a break for lovely orange beverage.
