Honest Man Poster Series.

Ferris Plock, Porous Walker, Jason Vivona, Skinner  and David Young have created a limited edition run of posters for the upcoming documentary Honest Man: The Life of R. Budd Dwyer from Eighty Four Films. The documentary explores the bribary scandal that ultimately led to Dwyer's public suicide on television in 1987. Honest Man features exclusive interviews and footage that calls Dwyer's guilt into question.

I was 14 when I saw the shooting take place on tv, needless to say it left a lasting impression on me. I was intrigued big time when Kristin Farr tipped me off to the doc and the prints for sale. Each design has a run of 20 (11x17 giclée archival print, printed on acid free 300gsm paper), so they are super limited edition. 100% of the profits will be going directly to the R.Budd Dwyer Scholarship Fund a non-profit organization dedicated to providing funds to adults and students from Blooming Valley, PA who are seeking higher education.

Santiago Uceda.

If you've never been to Portland, Oregon I would highly encourage you to go. It's such a great city. There's a reason there is so much love for PDX. The bike friendly-ness, the green-ness, the arty-ness, just lots of 'ness' going on up in that little city. Santiago Uceda has some new work and this Big Foot poster is one of my faves of his. I love his nod to the North Pacific beast and lots of other things PDX is known for. You can buy it at Society 6.

Stop Motion Mural: Flossy-P.

I love love love stop motion videos. Flossy-P finished this video of a mural she did for a bakery this past spring, but it got lost in my blog shuffle. I just found it again and thought I'd share regardless. It's always nice to see someone at work, even if it is a few months later. ;)

New Sufjan Stevens: The Age of Adz.

I have been listening to the new Sufjan Stevens, The Age of Adz all day. I am fighting playing most of the songs on repeat. Just when you thought he couldn't deliver again Sufjan goes a notch above and beyond. This is still the Sufjan we know and love, but he steps entirely out of the box. This album is fully orchestrated but with a twist. It's an electronic smorgasbord of layered beats, samples and drum machines. You can listen to the full album on NPR, which will be streaming til October 12th.
