Guest Blogging at sfgirlbybay.

Victoria of sfgirlbybay has asked me to be a guest blogger once a week. I am stoked! Some of you know that I had started a personal blog back in January, wild horses, but I have since put that on hiatus as two blogs (at this point) equals crazy pants for me. So this is really exciting for me! I'll be posting about things I'm loving each week, no art there just inspiration and stuff and junk and things. This week I posted what amounted to be my dream fall outfit. Check those BOOTS!

I am so flattered to be asked to guest blog. Victoria does an amazing job. She cultivates such a special space over there. If you aren't famil w/ her blog, I highly recommend it. It was one of the first blogs I have ever read and continues to be a mainstay. See you over there! <3

Something Better.

Richard Colman's show, Something Better opened to a packed house on Saturday night at Guerrero Gallery. No wonder really, the show was electric. Kevin Earl Taylor performed under his one man band Death Cheetah, which was incredible. All in all one of my favorite openings for sure. Here are a bunch of pics, from the day before and the day of. The rest will be on flickr when I can find some time.

The Exquisite Book tour kicked off yesterday over on Design for Mankind with an interview with Julia Rothman. Today, the second day of the tour, Chronicle Books offers three ML4U readers a chance to win a copy of their own. Yessss. You know the drill, leave a comment!

Loosely based on the game started by the Surrealists in the 1920's called the Exquisite Corpse, Julia, Jenny Volvoski and Matt Lamothe asked 100 artists to take part in their version of this almost century old drawing game. The book is a fabulous idea, full of so many different styles and a vast range of artists...many of whom have been featured here on ML4U. There is so much to look at on each page. It's a perfect addition to your library!

Last Thursday night Rare Device hosted a night of drawing and book signing. Co-author Julia Rothman, and local participating artists Caitlin Keegan, Lisa Congdon, Eunice Moyle, Tom Neely, Kelly Lynn Jones, Susie Ghahremani and Lorena Sim were there drawing up a storm .I've attached pics of the night.

Pitcherzzz: Week Ending 10.15.10.

Sneak Peek: Emily Glaubinger at Nooworks.

I'm just gonna throw these awesome images Emily Glaubinger sent over up as a teaser for her show on October 23rd at Nooworks. I'll be heading over to Nooworks next week to take photographs of the Emily's new work and and AND Nooworks new fall line with Emily's designs all over everything! I have a cloudy blue sweatshirt from the line that I am so into right now. I can't wait to show you guys more!
