I have posted Debra Baxter's fine art in the past. You might remember her piece: Crystal Brass Knuckles (Iam going to relign your chakras motherf*cker)? If you aren't familiar with it, get. It's one of the best pieces of sculpture I've ever seen.
Debra also has a gorgeaous line of jewels as well. She recently launched a new site with her gorgeous crystals juxtaposed agians her father, David Baxter's photography. Aptly her new site is named DB/CB.

I wrote below that I'll be incorporating designers I find inspiring now on the blog. I figured what better way to start this new era than with the scarves I spotted on Fieldguided. Anabela has hinted a few times about scarves they are making...and I can not wait til they are available. Look at how gorgeous they are!

Ever since I was a little girl I have been fascinated by adornment. All kinds of adornment. I thought I had been pretty versed on tribal adornment rituals until a few months ago when I saw images of Yll Citaku's video; Nusja Jone-Our Bride on Imprint. Lubinje brides of Kosovo are meticulously dressed and made up for their wedding day. It's done to ward off the "evil eye, and discourages gossip and speculation."
I was just looking through my bookmarks and found the images again so I thought I would share. I searched for the original video and just watched it for the first time. Wow — it's absolutely dreamy.

I stumbled on Leslie Williamson's photography site and was introduced to her beautiful photographs, but also had the pleasure of learning about fiber artist, Kay Sekimachi. Williamson took photographs of Sekimachi and her work for American Craft magazine.
I recently moved into my own apartment here in SF (it's actually my old apartment I lived in 4 yrs ago. Yes, same unit. Weird, I know.). Looking at Sekimachi's home and sculptures sure are inspiring for decorating ideas...not to mention her necklaces just to wear. Gorgeous.

Yep. That's right. Tattooed crowns. Personally, I can't wait til at least one or all of my teeth fall out now. I'm all about subtle adornment, and I will be rocking a hawk on a back molar at the silver nugget's old folks home I reside in later on. Don't hate.
