I'm not sure how popular this animation is by now, but it just really needed to get posted. Enjoy.

Damien Weighill just completed his first animated video, co-directed with Steven Wake for Giggle Party's song Jason Bought a Hatchet. BE WARNED...it's NOT for the faint of heart and probs NSFW. But if you don't shudder easily it's pretty hilarious and catchy. Damien said they made sure to cover all the Rock n' Roll cliches: dancing robots, decapitation, Mother Teresa, unicorns, pirates, Hitler and Sir Trevor McDonald.

Mellow/Not So Mellow Preview from Eighty Four Films on Vimeo.
Mellow/Not So Mellow: The collective animation of Jim Dirschberger and Rinee Shah opens tonight at RVCA Gallery in San Francisco. As the name suggests the show will be screening the sweet and tender animation of Rinee Shah, (I posted her work as part of the duo Church & Steak earlier in the week) and the raucous work of Jim Dirschberger (of Forest City Rockers awesomeness.). If you can't make it to the opening tonight, or for the next week that it's open, be sure to see more of Rinee's animation here and Jim's here.
