Deedee Cheriel's Songs for Infinite Starry Nights opened last Saturday at Merry Karnowsky Gallery in LA. Audrey Kawasaki and Femke Hiemstra also opened the same night -- the night I am sure was electric and full of beautiful work.

This week I sit down with Jen Stark. Jen is known for her detailed, meticulously cut paper sculptures along with her large drawings and animated videos. I've long admired Jen's work so it was great to sit and talk with her and get to ask her about her work, inspiration and living as an artist.

Opening pics of Tahiti Pehrson's Theta Pegasi (a star in the constellation Pegasus referred to as Biham in Arabic and when translated means “young beasts”). opened tonight at EVER GOLD. It's a really calming, tranquil show. I forgot I was in the middle of the Tenderloin while in the gallery surrounded by Pehrson's intricate paper cuttings. Gorgeous show.

Maya Hayuk and Jen Stark's show Double Rainbow Rainbow opens tonight in Toronto at Show & Tell Gallery. Everything about these pieces makes me smile ear to ear. It was so hard to decide which images I wanted to post here, each piece is really special. I think Show & Tell describes the show perfectly: "Together these artists will present a visual delight that will melt your face." Booya! You can see the full preview here.

Saelee Oh released a laser cut piece in June and it sold out in two days! Her latest piece, Infinite Paths is on its way to being sold out as well. It's extremely intricate and detailed. I love that it's in navy. Best color ever!
