Subliminal Projects opened up a store while my blog was on hiatus last fall...and I definitely wanted to post about it then, so I sure as hell gonna post about it now. ;) There is so much good stuff in there. I had the pleasure of seeing the original paintings of these Seonna Hong giclee prints last spring. I love that they are available as prints now. So delicate and lovely.
Be sure to peruse the store, judging by what they have and sold out of (you snooze, you looze) there will be more goodness to come.

One of my favorite stores in SF, hands down is Park Life. Owner's Jamie Alexander and Derek Song do a phenominal job at tightly curating not only the shows they put on but the merchandise they display. It's an art nerds dream shop filled with books, t's and art. I seriously could spend all day there. The books alone would keep me busy for days.
Co-owner, Jamie invited me to check out their back room that houses the Park Life's inventory and some of his personal collection. I visited this summer and this weekend and took a boatload of pics. Man, it was so hard to pick what images to post with out going overboard. The collection is amazing, from Barry McGee to Matthew Palladino...the back of the store (as well as the front) does an incredible job at spanning artists from the past 15 years of new contemporary art. I'll get the rest of the pics up on flickr today at some point.
Park Life will be at this year's NY Art Book Fair. Currently up in their gallery, Unnatural Plans.
Park Life sign by Andrew Schoultz and Jason Jägel.

A little reading. Barbara Krueger on the cover of W.
A detail of Masako Miki, she's got a bunch of work on show in the gallery at Park Life.
Up close and personal with a Barry McGee.
