Sadly, street artist Above literally had his bones broken (and a concussion) while working on a mural in Adelaide, Australia. But he's got a great sense of humor and the irony wasn't lost on him, afterall the mural says: 'Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will always save us'. :-/

Will Bryant tipped me off to his friend and studio mate Jay B Sauceda's brand new photography site. His photographs are super crisp and almost glisten with reality, don't they? All of his photographs are captivating, especially his sign painters series. You can find both Jay and Will at Public School dreaming up how to visually and creatively conquer the world.

Eine hits the streets of LA.

Eine has an upcoming show, The A-Z of Change this Thursday at Carmichael Gallery. In preparation for it he's been out and about on the streets of LA, hitting store fronts at night with his signature letters in the bright colors he's known for. I LOVE MARIO HUGO...there I said it and the internet knows it! I think his work is prolific and breath taking. Hugo has a very diverse, face melting portfolio. (I do grow impatient waiting for the images to load, but it's well worth the brief wait...they're so large and tasty! Please click on the images to view them larger on his site)

His spec work for Beck has been blazed across the web and every single time I see it I'm blown away. (Some of my favorites of the series.)
